• Food entries and nutrition data you log

• Photos you submit for AI food recognition

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide and improve the AI CalTrack service:

• Display your nutrition tracking, progress, and weight history
• Power AI food recognition from photos you upload
• Calculate personalized calorie and macro targets
• Send nutrition reminders if you enable notifications
• Anonymized analytics to improve our service

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (AWS infrastructure) with row-level security policies ensuring only you can access your own data. All data transfers are encrypted via TLS/SSL. We do not sell, share, or trade your personal data with third parties.

4. AI Food Recognition

When you submit a food photo, it is sent to Google Gemini AI for analysis. Google processes the image temporarily to return nutrition estimates. We do not store your photos beyond the processing period. AI nutrition estimates are approximate — always verify with food labels or a nutritionist.

5. Data Retention

Data retention varies by subscription tier. Free users retain 7 days of history, Basic users 30 days, and Pro users retain all data indefinitely. You can delete your data at any time from the app or by contacting us.

• Access — View all data we hold about you
• Correction — Update or correct your information
• Deletion — Request complete deletion of your account and data
• Export — Download your data in a machine-readable format
• Opt-out — Disable notifications and analytics at any time

7. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics are collected using privacy-first methods and can be disabled in Settings.

8. Children's Privacy

AI CalTrack is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
